Get this.. Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /vbshout.php on line 293 in the ShoutBox.. :(

It is a basically the default skin..

The Latest User Profile Changes is a very cool hack!!.. but.. as a guest.. kinda pointless to me.. since I can't view profiles.. You make that hack yourself or is there a link to it you could post! I like it!

Ditch that "intro" screen, and move that member of the week box into something like a CMPS module instead of a lone box in the middle of the screen.

I guess I will make more forums available to guests. The "Lastest User Profile Changes" hack was something I found on this site. The link to that hack can be found here:

Actually most of my members didn't like the CMPS modules so we ditched a while back.

I agree with the rest. Intro pages are one of the worst things ever created, ESPECIALLY when it has a delay before it gives you an entrance link. Also most people don't give enough of a crap who the member of the week is for it to be at the very top.

Don't like having to wait to click. If I was some random person browsing your page I would have left most likely after a sec or two of being unable to click anything.

Also, that member of the week avatar is borderline ( if not outright ) not safe for work.. might want to put some sort of disclaimer on your website.

Ok, first impressions are not so good I'm afraid.

Firstly you have an annoying splash page to get through (instant closure of window), then your portal doesn't sow anything as all your forums are closed to guests so you have a big blank center column.

When you finally get to the forum, you see an error message

and it is simply using the default style.

Please post details of a test account to get a full review.

Since this is forum review, I've edited the link so that it links appropriately to the forums.

Most members of Lets Converse do "give a crap" about the member of the week, that's why its a the top.

How can I change it so that when you go to www.letsconverse.net it you go directly to the CMPS Page?

davidw 08-03-2006 10:59 AM

Usually that's in how you set up your CMPS. With you having forums, you can usually leave the forums/index.php alone rather than renaming it to forum.php and install the CMPS to index.php at your root at www.letsconverse.net . There are instructions included with the CMPS installation that show you how to do just that.
