Question with $vbulletin->userinfo['musername']
 

Hello, I have a simple question about the 'musername' variable. I have seen a LOT of mods that create their own, color'ed username via. the opentag and closetag entries. However, it appears that 'musername' already has done all this. So, my question is, is it SAFE to use musername, or should I just query the relevant information through opentag, closetag, etc.?

It's perfectly "safe", just not always the most efficient way.

Why would you say it's not efficient? Does it run an extra query when you call it... or, what would be a better way? I haven't looked into see where it actually fills that variable exactly.
