Is there a way for vendors to upload ads?

I'm looking for a hack or something that will allow someone to purchase a banner ad, which they can sign up for, pay for and as soon as pp goes through, the ad is put into rotation. I would like the vendors to be able to log into their ad account to see click throughs, stats and renew their ads as needed.

If the admins can approve ads too, that would be great.

I have this now on my phpnuke site, but I can't figure out where to look for this. Does vB offer it as part of the package, or do I need a hack? What am I looking for? Thanks!!

Hi Cookie,

Interesting that you post this here. I am currently working on a project very similiar to what you are referring to. I'll layout the software and integrations I am using and maybe that will help you better understand how to get to where you want to be.

My projects goal is to automate the signup and provisioning of advertisers across multiple forums.

I am using Modernbill 5 for the shopping cart system. Modernbill can handle my credit card authorizations through Authorize.net and BluyPay, each of my merchant accounts, as well as dozens of others. Modernbill also has a great API to work with as far as integrating it into an existing website using "website widgets". Widgets are small pieces of php that output your formatted template where ever you would like.

For my ad severing solution I am using phpAdsNew, an open source software project. I've had incredible success with PAN over the years and I deliver nearly 500,000 impressions per day. PAN has the ability to allow users to upload their own media through the advertisers statistics/control panel.

With Modernbill I will be able to send provisioning commands through to PAN and generate the user in real time upon successfull completion of payment via paypal/creditcard. I will also offer invoice, and echeck payment systems for maximum client reach.

This isnt so much a vB hack though. As you can see I havent mention vB one time ;) - the only hackin onto vB that would need to be done is to alter the showthread template and add in the javascript call to PAN or use localmode and create a new template and use PHP to speed things up.

This is a great product pairing and I've been quite surprised not to have read about it any else.

Just think how nice this would be... Client comes to site, see's advertising, see's advertising link, checks it out, decides to give it a try, signs up and uses creditcard, payment is recieved and advertising account is provisioned automatically according to the package the client purchased. An email is sent to the client with login instructions and media upload instructions. You wake up in the morning to find you've made $500 overnight!

Priceless!

That would be nice, it's integtated into the admin panel of phpnuke, and the only part I'm sadly missing.

Thanks for the info
