I pull in about 450-500k visitors per month right now (uniques) and about 3300 members a month register. Our boards are available to be viewed by non-registered members.

We get anywhere from 3-5k daily, and average about 30 new users daily

With the ocassional listing on Fark.com traffic jumps to 10k+ and registrations usually go to about 150-2xx on those days

A standard free offer (such as a forum signup) will typically get 3-4% conversion rates. Most of the larger forum's I've worked with have seen rates of 5-6%, although I've seen some run even more efficient campaigns and reach rates as high as 10% for some specific ad campaigns.
