Changing Latest Active to Latest "New"

I posted this on the vBulletin.com site and was told the kind folk here might be able to help..

I've add this change

Can this be changed to Latest rather than Active?

I've looked at the hacks over at vBulletin.org, anf the layout is not the best and it doesn't work with cookies..

I would appreciate any help with this..
