Seamless Login
 

First post (ever), programming with PHP for a year. Just converted UBB.Classic v5.47e to vBulletin v3.5.4, all members, categories, threads, and posts ported over with little fight.

New site requires visitor login which will grant access to many more features and allow visitor access to the forums. The login process authenticates via PHP and MySQL database separate from that used by vBulletin.

Assuming user tables are in sync between the two databases. How do I seamlessly login visitors to vBulletin?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

visitors have a default userid of 0

Login users have access to the following features:
---Feature1
---Feature2
---Feature3
---Feature4
---Feature5
---Feature6 – Forums (vBulletin)

I want to avoid double login. If you logged in on my site and selected feature6 to go to forums, you shouldn’t have to login again. How do I create a seamless login to vBulletin with this scenario?
