Yahoo! ads pay really good. They also offer direct deposite, so you can get your money fast.

Are you looking to advertise or place advertisements on your website?

The question is: Who do you advertise with? So he is looking for places to advertise if the question is formulated correct.

I would go for both Google AdWords and Yahoo (just AdWords for european countries), unlike yahoo, you can set the bidprice to as low as 1 eurocent (maybe also in USD) and the ads normaly start at a price of 0.02/0.03 euro per click. In yahoo the minimum bidprice is a lot more but they may have a less effective Quality Pricing system making them again cheaper and more effective for some keywords.

I am using AdWords for my dutch sites and it's working great! You have to be patient and invest time to finetune your ads to the max (to pay less and get more return) but in the end you will have a super high quality traffic feed for your forum(s).

I use AdBrite and Clicksor and have tested 3 others but these return the most money.

One note about Clicksor, their code seems to crash the browser of some users.

AdWords. I mostly only use it while building a new forum site. I don't use it on established community sites.

I've been meaning to check out adbrite. I've heard some good things about it.
