Something strange...
Hi peeps
Can anyone shed any light on this... My site is at www.bashys-place.com I have nothing to do with the web address http://www.vcfboard.com/ so why does it have my site on it? |
Because they both resolve to the same ip address in DNS.
|
sorry m8 this means nowt to me....what should/can i do if anything at all?
|
I would suggest contacting your host, they should be able to fix the problem. It simple means the host has two different domains pointing to the same location.
|
There is nothing his host can do, the nameservers for the other domain are ZoneEdit (i.e. they will be controlled by the domain owner). I would guess that they are the previous user of the server you are now on, and didn't update their DNS. Just ignore it, it doesn't really matter.
|
ah true I didn't check the dns records, had he been hosted the same place as bashy, the host could have helped, but in this case they can't.
Try contacting the owner or maybe a little script which will redirect to google.com or something by checking the referer. |
Cheers peeps...
I feel it may be in my best interest to leave it for now Hopefully i may get some of their members ;) |
