Hi All,

I've recently switched from IPB to to vB. At the moment I'm having to tell people to tick the Enable Private Messaging box, is it possible to turn on the PM facility for a usergroup?

If you have set your user ID in the can run queries section of the config.php file, then go to Maintainence > Execute SQL Query > All Users - Recieve PM's - YES (It's on the dropdown list) > Run (Start or whatever it's called) > continue.

This will set all users to recieve PM's, but usergroups who cannot use the PM system still will not be able to do so as that is controlled by the usergroup permissions and this just affects the user permissions. (Usergroup overrides user)
