Portals?...kinda
 
I was wondering if you would like to build the forums into the site. Say I just wanted the body part of the forums, to be inside the main body of my website. Is it possible to do that?

Yes, it is extremely possible, but each website is different, so I would have to see your website to see how to do it exactly.
