High scores being overwritten by any subsequent score
I installed the default pack of games that came with ibProArcade and they save the high scores fine. I tried installing the files for a game called "501 Darts" and it plays fine. My only issue is that it overwrites the high score every time - even if that game's score is lower than the current high score. If the high score is 40 and someone scores 45, the new high score becomes 45 (lower is better in this game).
Any ideas? I've seen people run this game on other boards, so I know it must work. I don't mind digging in databases, running SQL queries or anything, so I can do that if needed. Thanks. |
Does it overwrite the "best result ever" or which highscore do you mean ?

I need to make sure of this when I get home (at work now), but :
When you're playing a game, to the right of the game itself is a value for "Score to beat". That keeps changing every game I play no matter if the score I just got is lower than the previous or not. I also believe that on the main page, the column/cell that says something like "Hoopsfan with a score of 50" keeps changing as well. But only for the Darts game so far. The default games keep their values from what I've seen. I'll double-check when I get home. Maybe I'm not understanding the functionality. :) *UPDATE FOLLOWS* Arrrgg... stupid mistake on my part. I had "Highscore type" set to "high" instead of "low". Hopefully flipping that will solve the issue... ;) |
Yes, it will :D
