Understanding Arcade access & arcade pass
 

to CMX or anyone else who know how to setup...

Im bit confused about this arcade password & arcade access. in my forum its working fine. but what i want is, my members can view arcade but cant play any game until they buy the access or password.

i tried it many way but not working. i had to disable both 'can view arcade' & 'can play arcade' from usergroup setting, which lets users cant even view the arcade. but i dont want this way.

so what i want to know is, how i can set it that members can view the arcade section but cant play until they buy it ?

Arcade Access to purchase from the vbPlaza is only useful for when u want them to buy access into the arcade. If u set the Arcade's permissions so they can already view the arcades, but not play. That is the setup u want.

In the usergroup settings for the Arcades, u should be able to set it so they can view, but not play, and then vbPlaza's Arcade Pass will allow your users to purchase the individual games.

Also be sure to enable the Arcade Integration setting in vbPlaza Settings.

edit: I turned arcade stuff off for a while, due to the confirmation bug, now I can't remember what I need to do to turn it back on.

I'm using the admin group as a test. In ibPro, I set it so that admins can view, but not play. Then I bought Arcade Access and an Arcade Pass. I can view, but still can't play. What am I missing?

CMX, i tried it in every possible way, but its not working. the settings u told me, i did. i can view the arcade the not play. after buying arcade pass its shows the msg (You own an Arcade Pass, so you will be able to play the games for free), but when i click on any game to play, i got the no permission msg.

my usergroup settings:

Can View Arcade - YES
Can Play Arcade - NO

**Can this group purchase Arcade Access? (If they can not view the arcade normally.) - NO
**Can this group play the Arcade for free? - NO

** I even tried these 2 settings with YES & NO, still not working.
