'Last post by <name>' modification
 

Hello,

I would like to make a modification on vBulletin without making changes to the actual vBulletin sourcecode.
I've successfully made this modification in the 'view post' bit (see http://forum.spelpunt.nl/showthread.php?t=75453, note the icon before some usernames).
I used the hook 'postbit_display_start', a library, and a template modification to do this.

I would like to make this modification as well in the 'Last post' column in the forumlist and in the thread list.
I've browsed documentation and vBulletin sourcecode to do this, but didn't find the correct hook to create my plugin for.
Did I just not look properly or is there no hook around this point?

Editing the template alone unfortunately is not enough, because one cannot use PHP code there. PHP Code is needed to fetch the correct icon.

Is creating a custom hook the only possibility (meaning: I have to readd the custom hook again every time I upgrade vBulletin) or does anyone know of another (cleaner!) way?
