What's the difference between vbulletin.com and vbulletin.org?

Hello;

There's two forums - vbulletin.com and this one, vbulletin.org.

I'm puzzled. Why does vBulletin have two support forums?

Vbulletin.org deals with mods and addons, vb.com is official and does not support 3rd party addons. They are the ones to tell if you have a bug with the core vbulletin.

vBulletin.com is the Official Support Forums for vBulletin Software - You may recieve official support in the relevant forums on this forum or via the Support Ticket system - The staff there are paid support team members - If you have modification questions, you are directed to vBulletin.org

vBulletin.org is the Official Modifications Forum for vBulletin Software - Any questions or ideas for modifications to your forum(s) you can ask for, find out about, create or "install" here (assuming it has been made and released by someone) - You can also find free released Smilie Sets and Forum Skins, and template modifications here :)

Please Note: Altering vBulletin Source Code files to install any modifications will mean that if you encounter problems with your forum software due to an unexpected bug with the default software, you will have to remove these modifications from your files to recieve official support from the vBulletin.com Team

It is also important to note that Staff on vBulletin.org are volunteer staff members, and are in no way obligated to provide support in any "official" capacity to you on this website; If we have time to answer questions posted properly and in the right forum, we may...As may any other user :)

Modification authors are in no way obligated to provide support for their modifications, nor are they obligated to release future versions of their modification when a new version of vBulletin is released; The staff here are also not responsible for providing support for any modifications released here, however if you ask, you will most likely recieve help :)

If you have any more questions or would like some of the things I have mentioned clearing up in more detail, just send me a PM on this site and I shall do my best to answer further :)

Chris
