Username from ID

If i had a user's id but in the table i need the username as well what would i do. For example in a table i had 2 columns. I Inserted a new row:

PHP Code:


		
			
INSERT INTO post (userid,username) VALUES ('X','Y')

X = userid Y= username. How would i do this?

Where are you getting the userid from?
