Audio alternative to image verification

I'm not sure how tough this will be.

Similar to the sign-up system for hotmail, I'm after an option for visually impared users to be able to listen to an audio file containing the verification code for the contact us and registration boxes.

I want my forum to be as 'accessible' as possible (without opening us up to spam) and this seems like a bit of an obstacle in achieving this.
