Vidiac vBulletin Integration

Vidiac vBulletin Integration v1.0
by titter

--- About ---------------------------------------------------------------
This will integrate the Vidiac Video Portal system into your vBulletin website.

You must signup with www.vidiac.com and follow all of their instructions to setup the CNAME to their site. This will not work if you do not have a Vidiac Video Portal, or if you try to redirect a subdomain. You must use a CNAME record.

--- Features ------------------------------------------------------------
Automatically resizing video section, resizes to the loaded content.

--- Installation --------------------------------------------------------
Follow install.txt found in the zip.

--- Demo ----------------------------------------------------------------
Live demos avaiable at:
http://www.mobmototb.com/forums/videos.php
http://www.boardingscene.com/videos.php

--- Notes ---------------------------------------------------------------
This will only work if you have your Vidiac setup with a CNAME record from your domain. All browsers block javascript cross-domain scripting unless you have the DOM reference placed in both pages. It is very important that your update the document.domain reference with your correct domain information, and it is placed both in your vidiac_videobits template, as well as the skin settings in your Vidiac portal.

This has been tested in FireFox and Internet Explorer, not tested in any other browsers.

--- Copyright -----------------------------------------------------------
All code in distributed in this zip is ?2006 titter, with the following exceptions:
dynifs.js - Credits within.

Can you send me a pm... its not even working the slightest bit. I installed it correct and edited my templates, but nothing works. It jsut shows a blank screen at www.boardingscene.com/videos.php

It is set on a CNAME... here is the normal site http://videos.boardingscene.com

VERY interesting. bookmarked.

any testing with 3.6 yet?

Cky47 06-25-2006 05:53 AM

I am still waiting for the pm...

Did you tell Adam Bruce Yet? HE has been wanting to develope this for a while but hasnt had the time. If this works... it could be a huge change in his company vidiac and vbulletin all together.

Files are updated, and PM has been sent. I included the wrong videos.php file in the zip. All is well now.

I posted on the vidiac forums about this, they replied keep them updated. Should work now without a hitch. Make sure you added the documnet.domain script on both the template, and vidiac admin panel! that is the most crucial step ... lol after you fix my mistake DOH!

As far as 3.6 testing goes I have not tested it on 3.6 ... nor have I looked at the system for 3.6. I will mess with that sometime during the next week.

Lmao... no problem at all, you dont realize how much work you saved me by doing this.

Thanks a TON!

Your my hero lol...

Oh yeah, if you guys wanna check it out http://www.boardingscene.com/videos.php

Much gratefulness for Adam Bruce (Vidiac Owner), His Staff, and Titter

If you guys havent already sign up for his service!

www.vidiac.com

Its free, and you cant beat it. They handle everything for you, you set up a CNAME and your done! Your own video site...

I can help anyone that needs help, I was one of Adam's earlier members.

Very nice! I like your site a lot, looks like a great boarding community. Also I agree, ls1tech.com and streetfire.net always got me interested in how it was done ... now I know, and I did it for our local car club, and made this plugin just because I didnt see it anywhere lol.

GrendelKhan{TSU 06-25-2006 11:46 AM

hmm... what if you want to put something else besides the Adsense next to the video section? is that possible? (and I assume we can use our own adsense code if we choose?)
