Request: All forums listed to the front page

Can you please list all forums, on the front page?
An example: To view the forum Board Optimization, I need to click through several options until I get to it.
It's extremely hard to navigate, not to mention annoying... to find what I'm looking for, everytime I access a forum.
If other members share the same opinion, please post here.

Also, can we have the old forum "Help Me Finish" restaured?
Thanks.

Edit: Hmm, about the Board Opmimization... it doesn't even work the link, it displays all threads.
How it's supposed to be organized the forum? I would like to see all related threads into a forum called "Board Optimization", for example, in the front page.

The terms chosen for the current forums are very confusing:
Add-On and Modification. That's it? That's very unclear.

I would use the following organization:

Forum: Add-On Releases
-- Search by option: Plugins - no hacking needed
-- Search by option: Mods (Hacks) - code editing involved
Forum: Board Opmimization
-- Search by option: Plugins - no hacking needed
-- Search by option: Mods (Hacks) - code editing involved
Forum: ... (all list of existing forums)

I like separating the code hacking from the plugins, but I think board optimization should be included with all the others.

I definately think the forums could be restructured to provide a more noob/user-friendly navigation and to be more efficient by combining several redundant forums.

I'm confronted with this same issue on my board, and have been with-holding implementing a bunch of new special interest forums for this very reason.

I'd like to reduce the forum home to about 5 parent categories, but reducing the default category level is going to require more clicks to get to where you want to go.

Okay, so one method is to insert links into the category strip but one can only do so much this way, and it diminishes the value of 'last post function.

Many moons ago I asked the following at vb.com: Answer .. No can do

Is the answer still ... not possible?

Lower the default parent Category level on forum home

User can then expand each Category that interests them on forum home

I still think the current forums need to be re-ordered a bit, but I would prefer if the hack forums remain on their own page.

I come to the forum for discussion, I go to the hack's page for modifications. Seems logical to me. :)

I think there should be at least one forum located with the modifications. When I had extra time I'd go into the old one and read the posts and try to link people to hacks they were looking for and give suggestions for hacks which could possibly help them with their request.

It was just really convenient to discuss the mods in the same area that I could look at them.
