RSS Question about specific content
If you are getting a sports feed, or football feed. But you only wanted say news articles which had something about George Best in them.. how can I set it so I don't call everything that had just the word George or just the word Best in..
I have 3.6 beta 2 on my test forum, but I'm not sure how to format George Best, Is it simply a case of putting speech tags " ....." around George Best or not having a space between George and Best I just want to make sure that if for example George BUSH went and watched a football game, that I wouldn't get a news feed about that, simply because of the shared first name. Or that I didn't get every football feed with the word Best in it. Does anyone even understand what I'm waffling on about? TIA |
Some feeds are fixed content. Other feeds, like yahoo, you submit a search term and I think ya can use advanced search like web searching by formatting the url properly. (ie. include and exclude terms.)
I did not look at the vB 3.6 rss implmentation. Since it's one of my biggest projects for several years now, I think I'll go look at it and see what they did. |
