how do i change the welcome message? i feel stupid?

Hi,

In your AdminCP go to

Language & Phrases > Search In Phrases

In the test box enter first_visit_message and select the option Phrase Variable Name Only

Search, then click edit next to the result shown.

Type whatever you wish to have displayed instead in the bottom box on this page. You can use HTML in this box.
