Rep Points/Rep Power

Ok the users on my board are confused on how this works, can someone explain how the rep points and repower works???????

This way I can let them know, thanks in advance.

eRep works in mysterious ways.

It can given, taken away, lost, restored, and messed with. On a serious note...

Youre in the wrong forum for questions.

To answer your question
eRep is the system vBulletin has included where other users can "thank" sorta other users for making useful posts, or if the post is stupid they can "disapprove" of the post.

Example: If vBulleting.org had eRepped enabled, i'd give you negative eRep for posting in the wrong forum.

Understand?

sorry this is in the wrong area. I was hoping to get a little more into detail about who the points work and the rep power..

cause like right now I have a rep power of 5 but 1105 in points

other have more rep power and lower points

It doesn't serve any higher purpose than too just Leave -rep's or +rep' to certain users depending on a good/bad post. It will probably turn out to be a popularity contest in the end.

You can edit it all in the AdminCP -> vBulletin Options -> REputation Settings i beleive its located.

Its kind of confusing at first, just look at it for a minute or two, and you'll figure it out ;)
