Video Gallery!?
 

So I'm running VbDrupal and have been looking into some sort of intergrated video hosting software for the community/members.

PhotoPost is the only thing ive really been looking at, that and Vbgallery (which Im not even sure can handle videos)

Does anyone have any suggestions? Any experiences with this? Is it worth hosting videos, or should i use AnyMedia and let ppl do there own hosts?

Depends on how good your hosting is.

Streaming lots of content from your server can be a bad idea, and can eat up bandwidth and space quicker then you'll be able to replace it. Imagine someone hosts a 10MB video on your site, 100 people view the video hosted with you.

thats 1 GB of bandwidth down the drain on 1 user. imagine if you have 10 users that do that, or more. and 10MB videos arent that hard to come across :)

but if you want, photopost is excellent software so far with my experience, a little rough to get setup, but after you learn it, its awesome ;)

i run vbgallery ( photopost ) and have videos posted. Im at work so cant give you a direct link but go to my site www.jerseyparties.com login name is "test" and password is "test" no quotes then go into the video section and you can watch them, and see if that suits your needs. i found vbgallery extremely easy to set up and ive had no problems, i installed a hack/mod thats in the photopost forums to get the videos to showup/play and havent had problems.

been there done that ...its much easier to use anymedia and google links embeded in the tags ..... you can check out my project for examples

i have the complete Youtube script and don't use it anymore.Ive saved quite a bit of money using the anymedia script
