If Microsoft would buy vBulletin and Jelsoft

Think about how wonderful vBulletin is right now, the service, the way they update things, etc. Now imagine how much more wonderful it would be if Microsoft bought Jelsoft. :tired:

>_> I don't think Jelsoft would ever sell out to that evil corportation.

I would try to stay, see how it is and goes and do my best to upkeep the quality of support and services :) And otherwise I will be walking.

What if Google, INC. bought Jelsoft.

Now I'd probably wouldn't mind that... but I think Google would code their own BBS before they bought another company.

Seeing as how Google prefers lite applications, a whole bunch of vB features would have to be removed before it would get the Google seal of approval.

We'd all have to ditch our Linux hosts for MS Sharepoint servers! The joy!

We should start taking BETs on when they will get to that.

Too late. Google Groups already fills that niche for them.

It would be terrible if M$ took over. They would take a really nicely developed system and put it on top of their own dev platform which would hog way more resources and be a nighmare to modify. Imagine it, you make a template edit, then have to restart your server each time. :D
