Chat in v3Arcade
 

I'm in the process of hacking an IRC based chat option into v3Arcade, on the game play page, so players can chat with a choice of 1) the person they are challenging, 2) everyone playing the same game or 3) everyone currently playing any game.

I've got the basic concept working. I'm using pjIRC 2.2.1, with the ShoutBox (sbox) GUI so I can vastly simplify the chat window, so it's just a plain scrollable box, no options or buttons or other widgets. I'm using a hook or two, some custom UserCP options, and one modified template.

However, as a complete IRC noob, and a vB novice, I could use some help with a couple of things. I won't go in to details here, this post is really just to see if there is anyone who is interested in such a feature who has experience with productizing vB mods, or who has in-depth IRC/services knowledge (I'm using unreal with ircservices). I learn fast, and wouldn't take up much of your time.

OK, one example of something I'd like some help with ... I'd like to see if it is possible to have the embedded chat window appear on both the game play and arcade home pages, preserving the session between pages, WITHOUT floating the pjirc window. I'm fairly sure this isn't possible, but there's no harm in asking!
