3.5 --> 3.6 Style Differences?

Ive been reading that styles for 3.5 will not work in 3.6.

My question is how would you get them to work? Is this a simple procedure of just editing a few lines of code?

Sorry, wrong forum.

they do work just revert the templates that need to be reverted. All templates absically work in all version once reverted like i have a 3.0.3 template on my 3.6 site. :D

Before anybody starts blindly reverting their templates.... bear in mind that if you revert your templates you'll then need to re-apply the customizations to the template that made it unique to begin with.

DUH! but you don't really get a choice.

Considering that a lot of newer vB users seem to be blindy reverting their templates after being told to and then, by coincidence, are having problems with their custom styles and/or hacks your ignorant "DUH!" statement is not warranted.

Yes, you do. Go look over at the list of template changes in the announcement forum and you'll see that most, if not all, of them can be done quite easily without having to revert a custom style.

rogersnm 06-13-2006 04:04 PM

yeah, my DUH statment was not ignorant more of a note to my self.

i was reffering more to the postbit which is better to just revert seeing as it comes up with only about 6 outdated templates.

you can check for updated templates
in AMDINCP / STYLES & TEMPLATES / FIND UPDATED TEMPLATES

OR

you can compare old vs new
open any "edited" template ... near the TITLE you will see a "View History" link .. click on it ... on the History page click COMPARE VERSIONS
