Gars
Hi - I read the message here about an exclude list - I haev the same problem as the original poster, but how do I exclude a forum from being re-written?
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....postcount=1442 I also had the same problem as some other posters, when clicking the 'New Posts' link, I'd get a 404, but I couldn't see the solution to this. TIA. |
If you open the file belonging to GARS main file, you should see something about it defining a script, find that name, and add it to vRewrite's exclude list.

What would tha file be ? :) |
There isnt a GARS main file as such. The scripts will be SHOWTHREAD or FORUMDISPLAY.

Thanks for the clarification! |
Not a problem :)
AFAIK - only problem is that GARS will send an extra request variable when browsing between pages. |
Ah, so it should be just a simple modification to the mod_rewrite rule then.
|
yea, when an post has been broken into multiple pages and the user goes on to an additional page, garpg is passed in the request like here

What exactly am i supposed to rewrite to exclude my three GARS forums from being rewritten? The .htaccess file, or something in the exclude script section of vRewrite? And how do I rewrite it? if there's a thread somewhere that explains all this i'm happy to read it - i just can't find it. |
It wouldn't really be quite as simple as a mod_rewrite fix, the script would still need to know when to go to page 2, and to rewrite it.
I can probably whip up a temp. fix for you. Can you provide me a link to a thread that is with GARS and vRewrite at once? |
