SMTP -> vBulletin
 

I am converting a phpBB forum to vBulletin and I need to find out how to setup individual forums in vBulletin as e-mail recipients.

My forum has a few forums that are subscribed to mailing lists. Each forum has its own e-mail address. Each new SMTP message becomes a new vBulletin thread. If an SMTP message had the same subject, it would be treated as a reply to the existing thread.

No messages from vBulletin are sent back to the mailing lists. These are announcement-only mailing lists.

Is there an add-on to vBulletin which will make this functionality possible?

AFAIK, no such add on exists, if you do a search, you will see several requests for it.

I did a search, but couldn't believe that after all of those requests it still didn't exist.

It could almost be made by cannibalizing Colin's vB Email Reply.

Perhaps I'll post a request on RentACoder.
