Advanced Editor Question

I've been having a bit of an isssue with vb's advanced editor (wysiwyg) and one of my hacks. Now the issue I'm having is with the [img] bbcode. When your adding something using the editor it works however when you go to edit the entry what happens is that it dosn't keep the [img] tags and instead it becomes a link. Anyone have any ideas what it might be?
