Chat Rooms.

One of our boards needs a serious chat room upgrade:)

I haven't looked at any of the topic related threads in the hacks forums yet, and before I do, I just wanted to ask for input from other board admins here.

Have any of you integrated any of the available commercial chat room software packages available out there?

If so, any recommendations?

We're looking for something cutting edge, slick looking and fun, that won't be too much of a headache integrating into our site.

We host on our own server.

Thanks in advance.

FlashChat from TuFAT.com. Awesome $5 chat room software that can easily be integrated with your vBulletin forum.

If ya not over bothered about vb integration then i would reccomenrd Paltalk, this has one thing thats different to any other chat software and thats Voice enabled :)

There is also a video option, the way the voice works is not like MSN messenger (1 to 1) this is, 1 talks everyone can here, you can put ya hand up and theres a queing system, You can you the client through ya browser or download the paltalk messenger and use it that way.....

I have been using it on my site for sometime now :)

this is My room you will enter using your browser!!

Okay, I'm going to probably give all 3 of the above a go, and decide which one I like best as well.

Are there any other good ones that integrate into vbulletin? That dont lag the site, are fast, and have good options for admins etc.

It is also very easy to implement a Java IRC-Chat using pjirc.
