How do i change the color of the text for my forum categories?

How do i change the color of the text of my forum categories?

In the main CSS section of the style manager for the style that you wish to alter, locate the tcat section and edit the font color, and all 3 a href (link) colors. not editing the link colors will cause the colors to not change uniformly throughout the site.

so go to my template editor, (for the template i want to change) then find tcat section, then edit font color as specified??

where would the tcat be near, just for reference??

also...If anyone could, my new template im using has many problems (many members are saying the ads are on top of the header, etc. would someone be able to check the template out to work properly?)

ok,

style manager > drop down list > main CSS > OK

scroll down till your find tcat (I think it is called category strips) which is below page and body and above alt1 and alt 2 (there are a few together tcat, tfoot, and thead and I can't recall the order off the top of my head).

you will have a set of boxes with different labels, just edit the ones for font color, and the three along the bottom for the link colors

aight, thanks (i found it, and never even new that CSS thing was there! lol)

I can change alot of stuff on my skin now

although, how to i check for bugs etc. without having to "know" what im lookin for?

Wouldn't it be easier to just go into the admin cp --> Forums & Moderators --> click edit on the category desired, then add the
Code:

<span style="color: whatever the color you want""font-weight: bold"> Forum Category </span>

Or is this not what he/she wanted?

That's the long way around, and could cause problems at a later date if you want to change your style or have multiple styles. The best way of making any styling changes that are not controled directly by the templates is to edit the main CSS for that style.

Okay, I am going to subscribe to this thread so I have it for future reference. I never knew all of that, I am still learning so thank you for explaining it :D

That's ok, glad it helps :)
