What kind of hack? Be specific...There is allready support for AIM in vb, just change: <-- $ post[aimicon] --> to $post[aimicon]

Where is that changed at?

On postbit template

keep in mind that you will need to upload an image for the ICQ, AIM, and Yahoo since it's not there

Actually if you uploaded all the files in the images directory, there are two aim icons already there, in addition to the rest of the stuff needed for it.

If you need the images I could give them to you.

I have found a problem with the built in AIM feature that I haven't been able to resolve.

Many of the people at my board, myself included have spaces formatted into their AIM names. When using the built in AIM feature, it doesn't work properly because of the spaces in the name. It opens an IM window but only includes the contents of the name to the point where it hits the space.

An example(fictious one): AIM screen name input into profile "John Smith"

When the AIM feature is clicked, the window that opens is an IM to John. The Smith part of the name is chopped off.

Have the users go into thier vb profile and take out the spaces in thier AIM name. AIM treats spaces cosmetically so far as I know.

For example, my SN is The Tom Black but if someone uses just TheTomBlack - I will still recieve the message.

A fun solution to try and pull off with 890 members, half of which don't always read their PMs or email. x_x

I've been tring to come up with a techie way to make it so that it works regardless of the spaces. I'll have to keep hunting.

Perhaps you can use the strip character function in PHP
Im not 100% how that works but hopefully its a place to start.
