Credit or Points System?
 

HI guys,
Ive tried searching but being relatively new to VBulletin I really dont know what Im looking for. At the moment my site is still in development phase and Im considering a few different options. Originally I was looking at the "pay per new thread" option which looks like its been done, however Im interested in giving my site a bit of a twist.

Im interested in perhaps putting something together that allows the members to purchase credits that they spend as they place advertisements within my forum. Basically the forum is an online classifieds.

To give a better insight heres how I see this option working.

1. A user buys $10 worth of credit which entitles him to 50 points.
2. When placing an ad or a new thread within a particular forum he is charged 5 credits.
3. They then return to the members area to purchase more credits, and cannot place new threads until so.
4. Id also like to give them freebie credits when first signing up. Maybe 200 or something.

Get it?

Im not sure if there is already something like this out there? Could someone please point me in the right direction?
