A little clarification on template edits.
I have a question regaurding template editing!
I see in my list of template files that many of my templates are not custom and are the same as default. Does this mean I can make them a child theme to the default them and ony edit the default files for modifications (hacks) or do you have to edit child as well?? And what if I add a child theme to the parent after a hack..will it make the changes good for that them as well!? TY for your help! |
If you add a child theme to your current theme then it will inherit all the template changes apart from in any templates that are modified as part of that theme.

so I can make them all child of default and olny make special edit to files that are red?
And man! Thanks for the fast responce! |
Spot on :)
If they are child styles you only need to edit the red templates. An orange (maybe yellow) template is inherited from the parent style. |
THANK YOU! I jsut installed the vb cash mod! (awesome) and now I will add the other templates to default as a child! Way cool! Thanks again!!
