Admin CP password storage
 

The admin control panel is not allowing AutoComplete to store the password. I checked with both IE and Firefox and neither will store the password.

I am going to go out on a limb here and assume vBulletin is doing something to prevent this. Is there a template or something I can edit to enable this?

I am growing tired of having to log into the admin control panel to delete and ban users. I get spammed daily so anything to speed this up without too many modifications would be helpful.

This sounds like a cookie issue on your PC or perhaps your auto complete aint turned on?

I find that if you dont have to type all your name and it autocompletes, then TYPE all your name then type the password then click submit and hopefully it will autocomplete the password next time....

I have everything on. The passwords save for all other sites, just wont save in the Admin CP.

I am not talking about the regular forum area, the Admin area where you setup your forum, and ban users amoung other things.

vBulletin.com says its a security risk to save passwords, so they refuse to permit it. My only hope is a modification.

Do you mean the form at admincp/index.php? Disable JavaScript once then the password can be captured.

It is really a security risk. If you disable JavaScript the pasword will also not be transfered hashed. This increases security and this is the reason why the password can't be stored by the browser: it is removed and hashed before it will be submited to the server.
