How do I?

Please see screen shot, how do I change from gray to something else.
Also doesn't matter what I do I can't seem to change the color of my buttons.

This is what I have in Background: #f8f8f8 url(images/btbg.gif) repeat-x top left and nothing in Extra CSS Attributes

I don't know much about CSS, am I doing something wrong?

You need to edit the Panel (Forms) class in the style manager. That isn't an extra css attribute. Its a standard attribute.
