Converting from UBB
 

I am considering converting my 7 year old private board from UBB Classic. All registrations use real names and currently all names show on the UBB "who's online" feature.

Will I be able to deny users the ability to hide from "Currently active users" list on vBulletin? If a hack is it relatively easy?

I have several private forums within the private board and 2300 users. When I import my UBB will the permissions for private forums be easily imported?

You can stop usergroups from being able to set themselves invisible, so thats a yes. it is also a default feature.

you will more than likely need to reset permissions for your forums.

Thank you for your interest in vBulletin.

The permission system in vBulletin is not compatible with that of UBB threads. For this reason you will always need to set the correct permissions after an import. In most cases this is a quick and easy job.
