Make first post in a thread sticky

Hi,

Can anyone help me configure a forum so that the FIRST post is sticky. Vbulletin.org does this nicely with software packages. The first post describing the package is ALWAYS at the top when you flip through all the pages of discussion underneath it. Is this a simple conguration setting, or do I need to hack a bit?

The first post here at vB.org is a custom script. There is a Plugin mod that does something similar:

First post on every page of thread :)
