How to change $vbphrase?
For example, $vbphrase[welcome_x] gives this text:
----- Welcome to the Test Forums. If this is your first visit, be sure to check out the FAQ by clicking the link above. You may have to register before you can post: click the register link above to proceed. To start viewing messages, select the forum that you want to visit from the selection below. ----- How can I change this text? |
Do a search in phrases in the Admin CP for welcome_x and make sure to click the title only box. ;)

I've searched for "welcome" and found this: Varname: $vbphrase[welcome_x] Text: Welcome, {1}. What is {1}? Is it another variable? The text I get in vB is: Welcome to the Test Forums. Where I can ask this question (maybe there is another vB forum)? Is that possible to chage message text or I should forget about it? :surprised:

When using phrases in vB you can supply variables that will be used to complete the phrase.
Like the username is stored in $foobar["username"] you can "tell" vB to use that in the phrase. The "{1}" will then be replaced by the contents of $foobar["username"] Hope that helps a bit :) |
