$bbuserinfo[useranme] in posts
Hi,
Is it possible to make a plugin that looks for the $bbuserinfo variables in plain text or html in a post and changes it to its correct value? I have searched the forums, but haven't found anything like it. For example: I want to be able to make a post that says something like. -- Hello $bbuserinfo[username]! Welcome to etc.... --- And it would look like this after submitting the post/thread, assuming the person viewing the threads name is John Doe. -- Hello Jon Doe! Welcome to etc... -- Anyone know how to do this? |
have a look around for the [you] hack. that does exactly what you are wanting.
