unregistered Preview Messages only
 
I have seen sites that only allow unregistered users to see the previews (thread display) but not actually read the full message. Is this a normal setting or a mod?

normal setting under vbulletin 3.5 :-)
check the usergroup settings for a specific usergroup.

ok I have went through them again and the only thing I can find completely blocks them from seeing even the list of messages. I want them to be able to see the list of topics but just not be able to click and read the entire post unless registered.

show only thread title for guest
show only 1st page for guest...

Well guess I should ask this though. This will probably kill the crawling capabilities of the search engines for SEO though. Right?
