Layout Idea?

Firstly, the Mods section looks sexy. Good job guys.

Secondly, I would like to recommend that the "Modification Requests" sections be put together into one forum, and perhaps then subforums denoting the software version, for example:

Home
--- Modification Requests
------vB 3.5.x
------vB 3.0.x
------vB 2.x.x

What do you think? It will really clean that area of the forums up. Let me know what you think.

I second that.

It should've been separated by topics instead of VB version, that'd make it looks much much better!

That might end up being too many subforums like vbadvanced.com, which is the most painful site to use. Noone likes drilling down to get to where they want to go. Right now, it's all on the surface which is nice. I just have the v3 and v2 forums minimised so I never see them. Much nicer.

Perhaps you are right. Many users still are on 56k Dialup.

Okay, I propose making all software versions (2.x.x, 3.0.x, 3.5.x) available on the main page. Wouldn't this make all of them on the main page available anyway?

I don't advocate forum depth either, I never have more than two deep on forums.

I haven't understood why there's a forum for Beta releases in 3.0 but not 3.5. I came here right at the 3.5 announcement so I'm am still somewhat new to the software. Not that I'm complaining, just didn't understand why one but not the other.

The beta forums were replaced with the 'is beta release' checkbox in threads.

davidw 05-04-2006 07:24 PM

I understood that to be in the 3.0 threads as well. That's why I was confused.

Xenon 05-05-2006 01:57 PM

yep, but that form was there before the new system ;)

as for mergin the request forums, we are currently planning a redisign, as you could see starting with moving the hack threads out a littler more ;)

Asi9ine 05-05-2006 03:07 PM

Ah, that's fair enough. Nice job anyway guys.
