Why no simple phpBB type HIDE hack?
 

I have a phpBB forum right now...the HIDE hack works so simply...just wrap the link with the HIDE tags and that's it...no HIDE OPTIONS to enter or anything and any link you put in AUTOMATICALLY gets turned into a link...no need to put the URL tags on it...either just highlight the link and hit the HIDE button on the editor...or just manually type add the tags.

It seems I'm having no luck finding a simple hide hack like that for vB...any hack I find has to have the member typing in an OPTION when they hit the HIDE button..and most members aren't gonna know the options unless you post it up somewhere..and that's if they even read it.

Is there actually a FREE hide hack for vB that works as simply as the phpBB hack does? I know there's the RESURRECTION HIDE HACK...but you have to pay for the one where you get to REPLY only...that's a last option...if it even works the way I'm hoping it would.

seems none of the free hacks refresh the page after a Quick Reply...which is kinda dumb.

I don't know what that has to do with this thread but you are wrong. It's kind of smart not dumb. It uses AJAX to add the post in the background to save resources, which is smart.

^^ I think he means with a hide hack after you reply you have to refresh. So maybe he means the thread noticing its using the hide hack and make it refresh after reply.

I agree though, finding a hide hack is really tough, ive been searching for months with still no luck.

wtf man.. no response for this on vb.org ... I recommend you post a support ticket on vbulletin.com and then leme knw over here if you got a simplified hide hack :)

Posting a support ticket won't do anything, they don't do hacks/mods, they will simply refer you back here (and before you ask, no, I have no interest in this).

werd...no luck finding any simple hide hacks. Looks like I'm gonna have to pay for the vision scripts one.
