automatically insert a post after the first post of a thread in a specific forum
 

I could have sworn I saw something like I need somewhere on here, but even after trying different searches for some 15 minutes I am unable to find it.

What I would like to do is have a bot post a message after each first post in a thread. Meaning User A creates a thread, User Bot posts the second message, all other users post from there.

The purpose is to inject the applicable rules into each thread that is made in a specific forum.

I could use detailed instructions on how to go about this. I run my own server so I can set up cron jobs to do this, though I have no idea how it all works. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Seems like this thread: Adsense after first post provides a workable solution. I don't need to have a 'user' post a message, I just need some text to show up after each first post. Now I just need to figure out how to put a forum id conditional in there so that it only shown up in the forum I want.
