Attachment Problem

Hi all -

ive got a mega problem and cant solve it and its doing me nut in.
Admins can upload attachments fine - but if any members (registered usergroup) tries all they get is file dir is not writable.

So i moved the attachments to the dataabse as i know for 100% the folder is cmod to 777 and admins can upload fine to the database but members still get the same error which is File system directory is not writable

Now this is weird cause the attachments are going straight to the database so how can this be writable for admins and un-writable for any other users inc mods and supermods.

Also attachments is set to 0 for everyone so there is no limit on what they can upload.

any one got any idea what is up ??

have you done each usergroups permissions???
if not go to adminCP>>>>usergroups>>>>usergroup manger>>>
then select the group you require and click go on "Edit usergroup"
not sure if that would help you in what your wanting, but i cant see why admins can upload and not other members.

Run the Upload Diagnostics and report back the results:

Admin CP ->Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Upload

Help Pertinent PHP Settings
file_uploads: On
open_basedir: None
safe_mode: Off
upload_tmp_dir: None
upload_max_filesize: 8M

ive had to move all attachments into the database as so far only admins can upload but if they in the database everyone can upload and setting are correct for the usergroup as well.
