Help. Can I remove a product via ftp?
My hosting company has just suspended my account ... they are saying I crashed the server.
I think it was because of this mod. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=105209 (allow users to self censor) I still have FTP access and am trying to persuade them to give me phpmyadmin access What would i need to do to remove a hack with just these 2 things? |
You can't remove a product that's only created from an xml I'm afraid. If it has it's own .php file you could remove it, but that one doesn't.
In any case, I would doubt that mod is to blame. Ask them for more specifics, e.g is it memory/database/bandwidth/processor usage. |
They said 'heavy sql usage' They're not being very nice about it.
It's only a small forum with 500 members ... Most people we get online at any one time is about 30 ... but there are a lot of hacks. |
tell them to upgrade their servers instead of taking it out on you. :)
|
They let me back in ... on the condition I behaved and didn't do any more 'experiments'.
Think it's time to get a new host  |
