Calendar Help - Google's spider is killing me...
 

Ok, so I got hit pretty good by google's webcrawler last night at about 3am or so...

80+ emails on how the SQL server reached it's max connections within 5 minutes.

the calendar wasn't changed from the default install, but it looks like it was trying to add an even for every day until January 17th 2010!

and today it continues to try... but it isn't filling the connections yet...

So, what i'm looking for is a way to hide the menu to add new events from anyone who is not logged in...

i've poked around in the templates a bit, but haven't been able to find the right spot for modifications yet, anyone know where that would be?

Try using a robots.txt file to exclude files or folders from the spiders.

i have lots of spiders also*lol*
i read about the robots.txt before but didn't really give it a shot
can you explain or give example of how it should be

one time i got hit by the spiders 90+ users trying to log in:S i only had around 12 users at the time

there's nothing tricky to the setup, just plain old syntax...
