Help with forum and search engines
 

Hi

I run a busy forum which is standard vB code.

I have set Usergroup: Unregistered / Not Logged in
as follows

Forum Viewing Permissions / Can View Thread Content NO
so that people are forced to register to view posts and threads. This is working very well.

The problem is that the archive links are not clickable therefore the forum is no longer search friendly and google cannot search our forum.

Is there a way around this please

Nope, allow guests and spiders, or don't allow either... theres no real simple way to allow both. Most SE's consider what you want to do as content cloaking, and can be considered illegal. Some SE comapnies will go so far as to totally black list your domain for this.

there is bot that will help search bots to act like users... they'll show up like users too :) try searching in the mods cat
