Database Transfer
 
Hello guys, I'm almost new here and I already have a question that has been around my mind for a while now. Here it goes.

Suppose I have an IPB forum, but all of a sudden I want to use vBulletin for my site instead of IPB. Is there any way I can transfer the users, post, configurations, etc to my new vB board?

Any input will be greatly appretiated :)

Sure, with the 'Impex' script is quite easy and the Impex is downloadable from member vBulletin area ;)

Impex supports InvisionBoard, phpBB, SMF, and a lot more..

Do note that there is an issue with the conversion of passwords from IPB to vB - IPB stored passwords differently than vB and there is no way in which they can be converted...this means that you will lose all passwords on the transfer so your users will need to reset their passwords.
