As you all know or don't I created the vbgooglemap application.

Currently I'm creating a hotspot edition.

This thread allows you to drop in feature suggestions.

The hotspot edition will allow you to enter locations or events on the map.

example: listing of nice places to visit with a display on the map and images.


What do you want to see in the hotspot edition?
Do you want listings included?
Do you want full detail pages on the hotspot?
Do you want it to link to a forum or thread?
...?

Just drop in what you want to see and who knows.

I've been wanting something like this.
I realize some things are just not in the realm of the google map but. . .

What I would like are for placement of ballons have the option needing to be approved.
A rollover to see the popup.
A link to a specific forum.

time and date...maybe address

links to calendar so an event in calendar can show a location or multiple locations would be a nice feature for me.

Pin linked to calendar to show next event at that location.

yes i second that too...also would work nicely if you have the enroll in event hack/mod....nice one lol

The calendar link is more of an addition to cal itself. But I'll check.

I would like to be able to link to sets of markers. I say sets as my use would be for canoe routes so for one set I might want a marker for the Parking place, one for the access to the river, another for a camp site and another for the get out point.

Probably the ability to select a colour for the pins would probably be enough to allow us to work out an in house colour code.

Wow cool, my wish list.

• Facility for only Admins or Mods to put marks on the map.
• User defined markers i.e. one colour per category (at least five colours please).
• Show or hide markers based on category.
• A Key showing what markers colours refer to.
• The ability to link to an individual marker and the map centre round that point.
• The ability to link to a post or vbLink from a hyperlink on that marker.
• Include a thumbnail image in pop up window.
• Calculate the winning lottery numbers! :confused:

Would love to have the ability to allow for users to add more that one item / location.
