How to show what lies beneath?
We launched our local community website about five months ago, and membership has slowly grown to currently 243 members, with 3,721 posts having been made in 476 threads.
A concern I have, that has also been reinforced by some prospective member 's comments upon their first arrival, is what features on a forum home page can reveal or hint at the amount of content that exists within the forum website? Here's our URL: www.foothillsforum.com At first glance, all that an arriving visitor sees are links to the five main forums, and some additional data relating to that forum such as latest post, plus the number of posts and threads it contains. What can I do / add / remove to make a visitor get a sense that there is much more to be discovered beneath the surface? Any advice would be much appreciated! Miner2049er. www.foothillsforum.com |
